A classic example of Amarone, a great way to get an idea of the most famous wine from Valpolicella and one of the best Italian wines in general.
Color: deep dark cherry
Aroma: tones of cherry liqueur, cherries, blackberries, mushrooms, fresh autumn forest, licorice, black pepper, smoked meats, cherry wood smoke, cinnamon and nutmeg, cumin,
thyme, thyme, cloves, black and green peppers, orange peel.
Taste: round, soft, with tones of cherry, blackberry, black pepper. Long aftertaste with notes of dark chocolate, pu-erh tea, cherry liqueur, curry and cardamom.
Gastronomy: For steaks, ungulates and game birds, including classic red sauces,
hard, aged cheeses will also come in handy. At the same time - it is quite worthy to be drunk and almost completely without food, like “wine for meditation”. Decanting is recommended.
